August 2025 – Lake Level:

Many camp owners have inquired about the lake level over the past few days. We just wanted to make everyone aware that the boards that control the lake level were placed in the dam in early May and have remained there as of today.

In early spring, the Limerick area received many days of heavy rain which brought the lake level up quickly and has remained that way until the past three weeks.

Sokokis Lake is fed by the river at the large end and a few watershed streams off Carroll Lane. We also depend heavily on rainfall through the summer season to maintain a level of water for watercraft to navigate the lake safely.

The water has receded over six inches due to a lake of rain, and the evaporation of water during the recent and current heat waves.

Please navigate safely and familiarize yourself with the hazard markers around the lake for objects that appear when the water level is low.

July 2024 — The Dam Committee is pleased to report that the two new steel brackets are now in place, which will greatly facilitate managing water level.  Lake is at normal summer level and being maintained at that level.
